Dick WrightFrom the Bay Harbor Concours...
Glorya and I attended the Bay Harbor Concours yesterday... by far the best quality show in Northern Michign each year. I took only a few pics. There's enough truly great cars there to give you sensory overload. I'll post what I took.

Dick WrightThis is a Mercedes Benz 540K. Historically one of the most important cars ever made. If you don't believe me, check Hagerty's for value.

This one's a Doozie. America's most important classic. The materials and finish on this car were wonderful.

A Maserati Ghibli... an early Pinan Farina design, these are widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

Whilst not one of history's more important cars, this one gave me warm, fuzzy feelings... My first car was a 1937 Ford. It didn't look like this. The owner had a ball driving it around Bay Harbor the day before the show. Love that blue.

Look at the perfect fitment on the hood, light covers, and door.

Dick WrightRich,
Re: the brown one... I've read many times that when Enzo Ferrari first saw an XKE that he wouldn't talk to anybody for three days.
Rich,
Regarding the brown one - I was a mechanic at an MG/Jaguar dealership - I believe you would find neither entry nor exit very easy.
I'm only 5' 7" and fairly slim (still!) and have always found the beautiful things SOB's to get in and out of.
WY, in those days the definition of a graceefull woman was one who could get in and out of a low slung sports car like the Jag , in amimi skirt , without making a display of herself!
Now 'women'display themselves intentionally !
