After more than two years on AR, I just discovered this part of the forum and decided to share a few pix of our restored 1965 Sunbeam Alpine which my wife bought new in 1965. It has been modified of late with the addition of a hopped up 2.8 L V6,a T5 tranny, and other goodies: The wife and I took it for a 150 mile top-down break-in spin in east Texas yesterday and had more fun that the law allows. Thanks Steve, It is fun to drive and turns a lot of heads driving around and at car shows. I stored the hard top for the summer and just finished breaking in the engine; plan to put it on a dyno soon to see the result of the engine rebuild. Next week, I get to drive it with the grandkids in the annual Farmersville Audie Murphy Day Parade. Most folks will not know what it is, but that is part of the fun! I should think it's no end of fun to drive with the top off and that engine in it!

Grand kids juat before start of the parade: They had a big time waving to the audience and I enjoyed visiting with the other drivers of classic cars and getting a "thumbs up " from folks along the parade route. Now, we leave for the nearby Top Gun Shooting Club for some sporting clays instruction to the grandson. The "first" on screen Bond sports car....... There are two types of people in the world: those that get things done and those who make excuses. There are no others.

Yes, and Sean's head appeared to be above the top of the windshield. IMHO, Maxwell Smart was a better fit and Arnold S. had to rip out a seat to fit into the one used in one of his movies. Biebs, It has a removable hard top and convertible top, but in the summer the hard top is stored most of the time.
