I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.

The only player in MLB history to have 9 consecutive seasons of 200 or more hits. To make the feat more impressive, Ichiro has only played in 9 MLB seasons... He also holds the all-time single season hit record.

For what has been a relatively short MLB career, he sure seems destined for Cooperstown.

It truly dumbfounds me that not one single player has ever been unanimously voted into the Hall. Tom Seaver has the highest 1st place votes of just over 98%, I think... For players like Ruth, Gehrig, Gibson, Cobb, Aaron, Mays, Musial, Mantle, Yaz, etc... to not get 100% blows my mind. Maybe Junior will be the first. I can't see where anyone could not vote him in. I can't see where anyone would not vote Ichiro in, either. I'd vote Ichiro in based on his defense alone. Honestly, either Roberto Clemente or Ichiro have to be the best defensive RF's in history of the MLB.

Ichiro should reach 3,000 hits easily.
