I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.

I never was a fan of Rose, but his place in the Hall of Fame is a given. It will just take a Commissioner with a set of balls. https://www.cincinnati.com/sto...f-death/75460666007/ Sports betting is now mainstream, and even advertised on every sports telecast. I also think it's a disgrace that Shoeless Joe Jackson isn't in the Hall and certainly Pete Rose deserves to be there. Pete reached his heights without the benefit of PEDs, while others cheated to get there. I resent the fact that Shoeless Joe was implicated in a report about Pete Rose today, saying that Joe helped throw the 1919 World Series. He was acquitted at trial and his stats for that World Series indicated that while he probably knew about the attempted fix and said nothing, he did all he could to win with a bat in his hand. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoeless_Joe_Jackson Pending Joe's induction I think Kenesaw Mountain Landis should be removed from the Hall of Fame. As for Pete's induction, let it happen.

Let's look at them all on an individual basis. https://fansided.com/posts/it-...-greats-01j948910g6x

Yup. To hell with holier than thou Kenesaw Landis and all the rest of them. The HOF is about God-given talent. Gambling is a sin not a talent. PEDs are different. Not God given. Now, sad to say, even if the so-called powers that be realize their error, Pete (and Joe) will never know. But at least we will. RIP, Pete, in the eternal HOF where you surely are, and where you certainly belong. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.
