Terry, I have K&H old primer. I am looking at the TC Omega with a thumb hold stk in total camo. I love T/H stocks. The rifle looks clean and easy to use and I am putting a Burris 1.5X5 camo scope. I will probably have 6 to 7 hundered in the package. I use only for Whitetail in Va a fews days a year but I am tempted to do an Africian PG hunt with black powder.

You could do a lot worse than the Savage 10ML II. Blackpowder, smokeless or blackpowder substitures can all be used. Proof tested to 120,00 PSI. The accuracy is good. This is the rifle I am leaning towards for my ML hunting needs. Good Luck!
Focus on the leading edge!

There are a lot of different muzzleloaders out there and about all of them will shoot good if you take the time to find the right loads for them. Since I have 2 of the savages I will have to vote for it too,it is a very fine muzleloader wether shooting black powder, subs or smokeless. just like any other rifle you still have to work up a good load for it.

Just remember if you buy the ML10 you must use either BP or one of the subs. since Michigan Doesn't allow smokeless during the ML seasons.Of course one could push the issue and use smokeless and go to court with the arguement that smoke less was the first BP sub.if caught. Personally I would get a 50 cal T/C Omeaga, Just a simple plain jane for 3 days a year.

Garden View Apiaries where the view is as sweet as the honey.
Owensby has got a great year round load right there-- that should be clocking over 2300 fps.
The Savage 10ML-II is any easy pick of the litter as far as I'm concerned.
For more money, an Encore Pro-Hunter is a quality rifle if you prefer T7 and the like, and the Knight bolt actions have always been more than good enough.
