I have a Cabelas PA rifle in .50 Cal. The gun is made by Pedersoli. Can anyone tell me what a good starting load would be using a 245 gr. powerbelt bullet. If I can get it to work, I would take it out for deer. I am thinking about powerbelts because of the ease of loading. What powder granulation is best for the charge, and do I need anything different for the pan? Thanks in advance for the help

McClura Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my question. Now I think I have some idea as to what to do to get the thing to work. All I have to do is get in enough practice to be confident in my ability to put the slug where I need it. I have no intention of taking it hunting until I know what I am doing. If not this year, next. The last thing I want to do is wound an animal because I didn't become familiar with my weapon. Thanks again
