Well , thanks to you guys helping me out on here, I finally got one hole groups at 50 yards, I went to 535 ball and .010 patch, and pyro, Man this Great plains rifle is one hell of a gun, I love this thang !.I hope my wife dont get mad when I bring it to bed tonite. LOL

Well, if you like it with Pyro, then you will love it even more with the real thing.

BTW, run a dry patch down your bore 24 hrs after cleaning it the first time. If it does not come back spotless, you may have a problem. This seems to be more important with Pdex than with real powder. I always rewipe my rifles 24 hrs after cleaning them.

I went back to the real black powder, yur right, I like it much better, I went out to 100 yards today with it and got 2 inch groups, I dont think my eyes will let me get it any tighter.
Any one know of a place to buy black powder in Georgia ?

Brent,
You've got me worried. I've always used pyrodex, and I don't think I have ever seen a perfectly clean patch come out of my barrel. You're saying that blackpowder is easier to clean? I'll have to try it then.
