I finally got the old renegade out of "mothballs" with a new GM .54 fast twist barrel and one of them Pedersoli 209 primer adapters. the plan is to load her up with BH209 and some harvester HP sabots and Hornady FTX .452" boolits. I got some 200's and 250 grainers along with some 300 gr XTP's left over from the .45colt.

Those 300`s are not meant to go faster than 1300 FPS.You will probably lose an animal using them.If you have some made for a 454 Casull,they would do just fine.

I have heard that about the Hornady XTP bullets more than a few times now. Very unfortunate situation, they look better than they perform.
