I was just wondering if anyone could help with some advice. I am going to get a new muzzleloader and I'm trying to decide between the Knight disc in 50 cal. with stainless/synthetic or maybe a TC Encore in 50 cal with stainless/synthetic. If anyone has any experience with these two or would have an opinion let it fly. hunter966

Have them both . . . the Encore is an easy choice. Why? No plastic jackets to fuss with, no blowback, easier to clean, more accurate with Powerbelts--- Suit yourself.

I've got a Disc Extreme which is very similar to the standard Disc rifle. It's a very good rifle and very accurate with sabots. Knight is going to be marketing Powerbelts as well. The Powerbelts they will sell are designed for Knight rifles. The only things I don't like about it are the ramrod (hollow aluminum) and the sights (red rear and green front). However Knight has kindly switched the fiber optic parts for me free of charge. The ramrod I replaced with a $20 Powerrod from XS sights (formerly Ashley Outdoors). A ramrod or open sights are no reasons to purchase or not purchase a rifle (especially if the manufacturer will switch the sights for you). Just go with what you feel comfortable with. Cost may or may not be an issue. If it is, the Disc is the way to go. The Disc Extreme (which I have) does cost more than the original Disc. The higher end Disc Extreme models (not Master versions) are around the same price as the Encore. Get what you like and make some smoke!
