Golcher, or Goulcher, was a well-known lockmaker, and may have produced rifles as well as parts. On that lock picture, I believe that is an "H" after the "l and C". You can still see a fragment of the joining line on the right side between the two uprights of the "H" (arrow on pic)....  If the only GOULCHER marking is on the lockplate, it is probable that some other maker built the rifle, using a Goulcher lock..... "Bitte, trinks du nicht das Wasser.
