I would appreciate a bit of help.
A few years back, there was a company that manufactured a small device that replaced the nipple of a traditional muzzleloader, and made it possible to use 209 primers. The made these in various threading to fit the particular gun, same as regular nipples.
Does anyone remember who this company is? I have been told that they are no longer in business, but I would love to get one of these devices.
So, if anyone has a contact address for the company, or has one of these things they are willing to sell, please let me know. I need it to fit a T/C Hawken.
Thank you all.

There are photos of what Sam Fadala called a "fusil" in his Blackpowder books. It used a small rifle primer though. It replaced the nipple on a sidelock. This was in the days before the 209 inlines.

YD, The device, which uses a small rifle primer as nordseta wrote, was sold under various names. Mine is a "Flam N' Go," but I don't think it is made any longer. The advantage is that it is a completely sealed system: I.e., it is weather resistant. The disadvantage is that it is very slow to reprime.

Just got off the phone with Hubbard Outdoors. They make the unit I was looking for. Called Mag-Spark.
Anyway, they are out of stock until sometime in February. In the event you are interested in getting one of these things, their phone number is 800-236-7486. If you have one threaded 1/4 x 28 that you want to sell, I'll buy it
Thanks again to all

I wouldn't go quite that far. My Pedersoli Kentucky Rifle had no trouble dropping a 6 point buck this year. If I were you, I would leave the flinter as it is.

Yankee Doodle, I looked at Hubbard's Mag-Spark and it is essentially the same as the device I have except that Hubbard's uses #209 primers. If you purchase a Mag-Spark, you may want to test it with regular #209 primers v. #209 BP primers, which my In-Line shooting friends claim produce better accuracy.
