Bought it on a whim from a friend. No manual but most of the stuff that may have come with it. CVA web site is kinda pitiful . . . Ok, . . .REAL PITIFUL for the modern world. The Mag 50 is not listed except for two references in the inline pdf format manual. Did this gun come new with three breech plugs? Manual made it seem that it had a 209 , #11 and musket cap breech plug. If the company had a decent web site it would cover this and a whole LOT more. 2 plugs. The one that accepted #11 nipple also accepts musket nipple.

Thanx Wolfhound. Looks like a call to CVA is in order! Tried the 209 version without powder and it leaks like a sieve with some pressure it would have pretty heavy blowby/blowback.

Finally got off of my duff and called CVA. This rifle did NOT come with musket and regular #11 cap breech plug. They are available on special order. I ordered one and the person at CVA wanted to know why I did not want the 209 ignition. I explained the apparent leakage with just a cap without any blow-back from powder. He did say that COMPLETE cleaning was definitely required after firing with 209s. May not have time this year, but I bet I can create a breech plug that works and leaks far less! Oh well off to the range to shoot an inline tomorrow. I sure hope no one sees me shooting such a contraption , , , I have a reputation to uphold after all! LouisB
