KMuleinAKbook on muzzleloading?
I am thinking of getting into muzzleloading and was looking for recommendations on a book on the topic - I would like one book that covers as much as possible on muzzleloading, to include the "latest and greatest" technology. I plan on (based on what I learn) getting a 54 caliber Hawkin, will shoot often and will hunt with it also. Any ideas on a book ? Thanks - KMule

HobieI suggest
The Complete Blackpowder Handbook. This covers just about everything. There are plenty of other books depending on your interest. There are also many on-line sources of info. If you have specific questions, ask.

DannoBooneHi KMule,
One of the best reads I've found for a new guy to
muzzle loading is free. It can be found at:
http://www.realtree.com/bluelk/index.tpl It was written
by a dear ol' ML pro who was recently deceased, and was
like a father or uncle to those who frequented the
Realtree ML forum. His favorite was also a .54. Just a
few months before his death, he got to take a huge wild
boar with it.

The_RiflemanI recommend that you get magazine subscriptions Muzzleloader magazine, Blackpowder Hunting, and Muzzleblasts magazine.
The subscription to muzzleblasts magazine comes with membership to the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.
