I recently bought an encore bp barrel that has some pitting and scratching in the bore...It shoots ok but the bore looks bad and i need to sell it. What can I do to improve how it looks inside? Not trying to hide anything because i will guarantee its ability to shoot accurately...but I want it to look better inside. csnfitz@yahoo.com "One shot is usually enough..."

The word "okay" means different things to different people, but here is what I would do: Shoot a target with the barrel, and make note of what you were using. List it all: powder in grains, type of primer and what kind of projectile. Then, once you have cleaned the barrel well, hit it with a pretty heavy oil. Oil does a lot to slick up a bore. And then, above all, be honest!!! Tell the guy that it might not be the prettiest bore in the world, but the target shows it will shoot. You will prob sell the barrel and make a friend in the process...
