Does anyone here use a Winchester Apex? I was in the gun shop for an unrelated purchase and ended up looking at one. 30" barrel without feeling long, and about $100 cheaper than the T/C equivalent.

Looks like an Omega to me, with all that implies. Does TC produce these for Winchester?

My dad has one backordered and has been quizzing me about scope bases. Any idea what bases this thing uses?

It would sure be nice if it used regular M70 bases; I have a new set of Burris DD bases and rings ready to go.

After looking at them side-by-side (sort of) I guess these aren't the same gun (kinda like the Sigma and the Glock).

I imagine that there will be a special mount that matches the radius of the "receiver".
