I'm a traditional black powder guy and have always used round ball when hunting. I have used conicals in competition and am always impressed with their abilities. However I just returned from a cow elk hunt and watched 3 cows taken with the power belt bullets. It was amazing to watch the reaction of the animal when it was hit. All 3 took shots into the boiler room and none went further than 30 feet. When hit the entire animal shook down through their legs. I've never seen that kind of impact on such a large animal. None of the bullets exited the animals. If you have a chance and your rifle likes them I'd reccommed you give them a try.

I only saw one as the others were lost in the gut pile. It could have been used in an advertising photo for what a bullet is supposed to look like. The bullet was recovered by a guy that moved yesterday to Colorado. Once he's settled down I'll see if he still has the bullet and try to get him to post a picture.

What cal? what weight? what distance? What charge? Details please, It's all in the details. Last year, I shot a W/T doe with a .45cal 225gr aero-tip PB at about 30yds. The charge was 3-50gr pyrex pellets. The bullet blew up and made a baseball size hole on exit. Bullet fragments all over the place inside the animal, awful messy. I know that's awful close with such a stout load and dead is dead (no tracking involved) but I just thought the bullets were supposed to be tougher than that that. I'm still going to use them this year, They are accurate in my rifle. Terry
