Be carefull the 777 is a quite a bit hotter per volume than Pyrodex RS or Black Powder. I have used 777 and so far am not impressed with it over Pyrodex RS IMHO. BTW when shooting 777 your muzzle-loader will need to be cleaned unlike the Savage that will use smokeless powder. Good luck and have fun shooting Swede --------------------------------------------------------- NRA Life Member

I have been using the "777" for 3 years now. I find that it gets very consistent with higher charges. I chronographed my loads in my T/C Encore using Barnes 250 grain expnaders, 120 grains of loose "777" and my low has been 2214fps and a high of 2217. At 130 grains there is similar deviation but the increase in FPS is small. I do not remember the exact numbers but it is only around 2230. This load shoot under 1" at 100 yards all day. I have an Omega that shoots the same load just as accurate. I have not chronographed that yet but in the longer barrell it should be slightly faster. The only down side I found is the "crud" ring that develops at about the point where the top of the charge sits in the barrel. Breaks clean easily but makes loading more than 2 rounds without cleaning a challenge.
