You have to just try as many different combinations as you can until you are satisfied with the accuracy. My first encore barrel loved 250grain PTX sabots over 2 pellets of pyrodex. Three shots touching at 100 yards. However, with the 250 grain Barnes I couldn't even get in a three inch group with any type of powder. Long story, but that barreled was ruined so I got a second barrel. The second barrel likes 250 grains Barnes bullets with either 2/3 pellets or anything in between. I am currently working on a load of 300 grain Hornady XTP with 2 pellets for a hog hunt. They group about 1 inch. I was about to switch to loose powder to see if I could close it up some more but my scope went up on me. Neither barrel liked 180 grain sabots. I have also read that a lot of people have had good luck with powerbelts. Hope this gives you some ideas and helps out. Good luck.

Might want to take a look at PRBullet.com 's Dead Centers. For a sabot shooter, they might be the cat's meow. I would try some of the mid to heavier ones and start at about 80 grains of loose T7 FFg. Damp/dry swab after each shot. Betcha like 'em.
