i have a tc firehawk in 50cal that currently uses a #11 cap. i'd like to convert this rifle to 209 primers. has anyone done this, and if so, how is it working. i like the reliability of the 209 primer in inclement weather. i'd appreciate the input.

I have a thunder hawk which is the same rifle.I did one year change to a musket nipple set and it was the only time I got a misfire.I switched back to the number 11 caps and I can say I had this gun out in rain sleet snow and at the end of the day the gun always fired. I would use t/c flame thrower nipple and RWS 1075+ plus caps. I see they have a swap kit that changes the set to number 209 but I think it not really needed

Wrote a short note to tc..no response yet. i'd like to try the 209 primers. the rifle can outshoot me now, if the conversion is possibe and works well i'll keep it, if not, i'll convert back to #11 caps.
