I just ordered my first ML, a Knight Disc Elite, which should arrive today. I've been doing alot of reading and have a couple questions for you experienced guys. First of all, how should I properly break in the barrel? I've read to use valve lapping compound to smooth out some of the burs but I'm not real sure about this, anyone ever try it? Secondly, what are your guys opinions on bore butter? My friend swears by it but I've read articles from very knowledgable guys who say to stay away from it. Oh and can anyone reccomend me a good scope? I'm kind of torn between a fixed power and a variable; what models do you guys use? I'm considering a Bushnell Trophy 3x9x40 or an elite 3200 of the same.
