Who makes the best 1851 Navy? BP of course, not a conversion.

I've been contemplating a London model, but I'd like one that is a little better quality than my 1858 Rem (a Pietta).

Thanks

Cimarron Firearms. I have been to their shop in Texas. I have a pair of their cartridge conversions in 38SP for cowboy shooting.

I know, I know!!

Because Colt has not made a Navy model in over 135 years. The Henry firearms guys in Brooklyn assembled the 20th century re-introductions for them from italian parts. Same company that makes them for Cimarron. Colt is now out of marketing them again.

Do I get something for the first correct answer?

Rich
Buy Cimarron and be happy

we go west by northwest about 42 miles. Leave the paved road and start saddling horses.
The rest is tent camping, biscuits and gravy and bacon the first morning, and elk backstrap the rest of the week. Maybe a wolf if we get lucky.

My pards are in Wyoming right now, doing the tent deal. I'm waiting for my new baby.

Next year for me.

I've got a 2nd generation colt made in the 60s. At that time colt claimed they were a continuation of the orgional production and made on the orgional tooling.

Don't know what they are doing now.

Eric,

Man up!!

My great-grandfather likened being there when the baby is born to ship building. "As long as you know who laid the keel, who pushes the ship off the cradle is immaterial...".
Tell your wife that and let me know what she says... When you come to, I mean.
Best of wishes for a healthy baby and mother. You, you're on your own!

lol

I'll take this under advisement, however, as I'm still fond of my top-knot, I might speculate on it a bit first.
