I took delivery on my Triple P loading press today and think it's just dandy. If you shoot a black powder revolver it's the cat's meow. http://www.sixgunforfun.com/ _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

It's certainly not old-timey, but it should would make for a more enjoyable day at the range. Neat.

I corresponded with Eddy today; seems like a nice guy. The Triple-P loader will work with everything from the 31 caliber Colts and Remingtons through the Walker Colt. It will even work with the LeMat! Looks like a very handy gizmo.

I have now used my press a couple of times. I only have one blackpowder revolver, a Rogers & Spencer in .44 caliber, so I haven't taken advantage of the versatility with different cylinders of different sizes and calibers. But it is very simple to use and very well made. I recommend it. I also got the wad cutter attachment but haven't used it yet. Blackpowder is so different from what I am used to that it's taking me awhile to adapt. There's a lot of fiddling and tinkering around and they require a nerdish attention to cleaning and maintenance. There is a member of my club who knows what he is doing and he gets amazingly small groups from his BP revolvers. I'm not there yet. But be forewarned, you need to be able to do your own trigger job (or know a gunsmith who works on these kinds of pistols), the original sights are next to worthless and need to be modified, the original equipment nipples are not optimum (I've ordered some Treso nipples), if you can't get Hodgdon Triple 7 and use blackpowder (I use Swiss N° 2 since I can't get Triple 7) your wife will hate you for cleaning the thing in the kitchen sink and then baking it in the oven, you have to take the equivalent of your complete loading bench with you to the range and it takes about twenty minutes to get off 12 well aimed shots. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

Nice for the 1858 Rem. and an extra cylinder. I didn't appreciate the "extra cylinder" when I bought the gun. But it's very much like having a "speed loader" in a belt pouch.
