I just bought a t/c 56sb kit rifle that was almost assembled. The nosecap and ram rod are missing. I've never shot bp before, but have been interested for a time. I was looking for an inexpensive db bp shotgun, but thought this would suffice for spruce grouse and ptarmigan in the meantime as a single shot smaller game rifle. To cut to the chase, the cards on all the websites I've found for shotguns seem either too small or too large. Should I make my own or am I missing something here. I would really like to get out and get some blood on this thing... but am somewhat hesitant to order 100 wads and cards etc, wait a week, then find out they won't work. Also this guage seems like an in between. Any thoughts on this or recommendations?
