I recently got a Traditions 50 cal Pursuit LT black powder rifle .It has the WORST trigger Ive ever seen the pull weight is around 8 lb .If the weight isnt bad enough ,it also has 3 sticky spots . I was wondering if any one has worked one of thease orignal triggers? If its possible to do so how. I would like to avoid having to buy a new trigger kit. I"m hoping to polish or hone parts to get out the sticky spots.mabey replace springs to lighten pull.Any info would surely be appreciated. SAVAGE*99

figure out a way to oil the sear well and dry fire it so it doesnt do any damage to the gun 100-300 times.. the sears are rough, i just had two flintlocks that i did this to and one is fine and the other is comming around..they were pretty bad when i started.. it could polish itself at the correct angles just by fireing them with lots of oil.... it will problably not lighten a great deal but could lightne some and the burr that couseing the drag could work itself out.. it should be tried before you take it to a gunsmith who knows how to do triggers properly.. its the way of the new age.. we dont spend alot of money to buy a gun.. so we have to pay to get it fixxed upon arrival.. dave.. hunter, blackpowder shooter, photographer, gemology, trap shooter, duck hunter, elk, deer, etc..
