Does anyone know of a source of .775 roundballs or a mold? I've tried all of the usual suspects (lyman, hoch, midway, old western, etc) without luck. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. -Bob DRSS "If we're not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?" "PS. Bob, The best deal out there happens, for once, to be the cheapest. Check out http://www.dixiegunworks.com and look for their scissor molds. They make these in 0.005" increments for next to nothing (~$35). I bought one for my 18 bore double rifle and the thing throws beautiful roundballs. I could not be more amazed. The next best deal out there is a guy by the name of Jeff or John Tanner or something like that. It would take me a moment to dig him out. But he makes roundball and belted ball molds in England for a very reasonable price. I have one of these too, but have never used it. I ordered a mold from dixie this afternoon. Thanks for the fast answer, I'd been looking for over a month! Bob DRSS "If we're not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?" "PS. Bob: I have had good luck using a .735 ball from a friend's mould for his Bess. I seat them over a fiber wad using an OxYoke patch and they seem to work find in my 10-gauge Pedersoli double. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

Boreal: My 10-gauge has the regular cylinder-choked barrels as far as I can tell. I have not worked up a serious ball load for accuracy, only plinking while working up shot loads for turkey, but the gun seems to put them where I am looking at 30 yards or so. http://www.jt-bullet-moulds.co.uk/moulds.html This guy is great. Super nice fellow. He will make whatever you want. The prices are way to low and the quality is top-notch. He is fast. Dealing with him is no problem despite the fact that he is not in the U.S.

i found jeff tanner"s(of jt moulds)website about the day before it was mentioned here. i"m a lot closer to him than most of you guys, so i ordered a mould and set of lee handles from him last week.i"d been after a .775 ball to fire with a patch from my 8 bore just for the fun of it, but could"nt get a mould anywhere else. mr tanner would have recieved my cheque yesterday(monday), and i had my mould today(tuesday), so he must have had it in the post as soon as my cheque was through his door. i"ve just made a dozen balls with it, and i"m going to try them now. i don"t think anyone could provide better service than that! good shooting
