I use a 570-grain Minie (Lyman 57730). Recoil is "noticeable"!! Good shooting!!

Shot some of these monsters yesterday...

after several sight adjustments.... and accounting for me having an awkard day (up late loading and finishing 2 centerfire rifles) they shot at least as good as the warrens (which was the point) and left very light fouling!!

I asked for them to be a little softer, as there was some difficultly getting them started.

Jeffe: What alloy were those slugs cast from? Just curious, as I had a few slugs from Wayne that were included in a deal a couple of years ago for a Kodiak .72, and they were a little stiff. I wonder if the alloy was 1:20 or harder.

I talked with Wayne on the way back fromt eh range... he said they were about a b9... i would like to see them about a 5... nearly pure lead.
