who uses a .45 caliber?
I have a TC Omega in .45 cal topped with a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40. I'm using 3 pyrodex pellets and a 205 gr powerbelt. Just wondering if anyone else is using .45 or does everyone else go with the traditional .50 cal. I know there is a much bigger selection of products for the .50.

I shoot a T/C White Mountain carbine in .45. For anything larger than small deer, I prefer a .50 or better, up to my .72 double. Used to have a 4 bore flintlock musket..I considered that adequate.

One G2, two Encores, two Whites - all .45s. I like 'em. Plenty big enough for deer.

I use a homemade .45 with a 550 gr lead flat nose bullet over 85-100 gr of real gunpowder. Good for anything that walks.
