30 grains of 4Fg Swiss gunpowder behind a .454" round bullet, weighing 140 grains, gives a muzzle velocity of 310 m/s (a tad more than 1000 fps) using an Uberti Remington New Army 44 cal.

It is a safe load or, instead, is a bit too powerful?
