Roger, I checked a 25/35 imp case, you would have to deepen the "trough" so much I don't think it would be possible.

......I'm not so sure about that Tony, if a 7-30 Waters works, I can't see why the 6.5 wouldn't...maybe not a full improved case, but possibly the Waters necked back to 6.5....I have a 7-30 Herrett in a Martini and a switch barrel Savage 99 in 22 HP and 25-35.....but I do love my 6.5s..... I have a 7-30 also, but the imp case is so straight it doesn't have room. I have a simple 357 maximum on a cadet, and I had to deepen the trough to get room for that and it's not as fat. I to like the 6.5's, but havn't found one that fits right in the cadet, the 7-30 necked down of course would work, but didn't want to go full custom reamer, dies etc.

......maybe we should move this conversation to a new thread.........I wonder how much I would lose by going to something like a 6.5x30 Herrett in a 22" barrel ?.....shouldn't be any feeding problems with that.....wonder what pressure they would run at, or the 30 Herrett for that matter ????

Imagination running amok......again !!!

I've wanted a reason to buy some 17 Hornet ammo and now I have one. I just bought another Cadet action. I need to find a gunsmith, a barrel blank and a stock turner.
