Are there any Apex shooters around? I have one and like it alot. I am in communication with a guy here in the US who is very interested in getting some barrels brought in from Spain that are in Metric calibers. Is there any interest by anyone else?

I was interested in getting one until I found out replacement barrels are non-existent. Too bad, I like the gun a lot.

I've seen lots of replacement barrels. Where are you looking?

I should have been more specific. I was looking for a .22 rimfire barrel. CVA or Bergera used to advertise these as an option. My own interest was to get one of these with a 7mm'08, .22 rimfire and a shotgun barrel for turkey. It's just not versatile enough for me without the .22 rimfire.

I was unaware CVA made a rimfire barrel for any of their platforms. The 12 gauge slug and smooth bore turkey barrels are available, but I have no knowledge of a rimfire option.
I spoke to them a year ago at SHOT where they said additional calibers are in the future but no mention of specifics or timefreme was given.

What calibers do you have Cliff and how do they shoot?
How much do they weigh scoped up or bare?

It's a heavier gun than what I thought it would be. Currently I own a 7MM-08, .308, 30-06 and a .50 BP. I have a 22-250 barrel on order and am having a 222 barrel rebored and shortened to 357 Max.
The calibers I have shot have shot very well and believe any caliber will shoot well.
The rifle locks up solid and is pleasing to carry.

When will they do a 20ga 20-24" slug barrel?

I'm not sure on the 20 gauge. I would think it would be more popular than the 12 gauge.

They should be, with higher BC slugs and less recoil, I would think like H&R, Savage and TC, CVA would add them too the line.

Thanks Cliff,
The 7.5# listed weight on their website is why I haven't ordered one of these..
Sometimes the online specs. are out of line with reality hence my question about the weight..
There is always their lwt. weight scout model..
It is kind of funky looking with its trigger like break open lever however....

I have handled Cliff's but not shot them. They are well balanced and feel much lighter than the listed weight in my hands.

I owned a Scout and felt it was too light. The 7-08 I had was pretty loud and didn't care for the way it shot and recoiled.

I know of others who are having great luck with the Scout but I will remain with the Apex.
