Does Ruger maintain any kind of database similar to Remington's which lists the date of manufacture when you enter a serial number?
I am planning to sell my 1-B in .218 Bee and I'd like to give the date of manufacture in the ad. I went to the Ruger website but all I could find was to mail them a letter.

Call the Ruger Historical office at 603 865 2424 with your serial number and they will tell you the month and year it was proofed.
