Does anyone have one of these?Accuracy?I usually buy Savages and the worst shooting bull barrel Savage I've had still shot .376" groups. If I really work with my reloads, can I get a H&R close to 1/2"?I'm thinkig of the 243 model for my son to shoot ground hogs with me,plus I've never had a 243.I really like the stocks on these models.

Can't speak for the fluted bull but I do have a 24".223 bull in the H&R and with a little fine tuning and good reloads under 1/2" is doable. Check out the H&R section of www.graybeardoutdoors.com. Check the Sticky Notes for fine tuning info. These rifles have their quirks but with a little work...they will shoot with the best.

I have a .223 Ultra varmit and after my gunsmith tuned the trigger to a smooth 2.4lbs it shoots sub .5 groups with reloads and sub 1" groups with PMC ball. Great little gun for the money.
