She is an ,06.
Trigger pull is outstanding.
I had an issue with one of the rings, so my 1st shoot was a waste, But I solved that problem, and have loaded up some 180 grain sierra BTs and some 150 grain hornady ILs.

Nice looking No1.

I like them. The 1-A and the International's are my favorites.

N E 450, we have similar tastes.
I have a 1A in 7X57. Its just a we bit older than this one, and is an absolute tact driver.
If this one shoots even close to as good I will be quite happy indeed.
the sling came with the rifle and is I think an origional Ruger part.
It has ruger nicely tooled in the leather anyway.
the scope is a VX2 2X7. I would have preferd to mount it abount an inch an a half farther back , but the rear sight gets in the way.
But eye realf is fine up to about 4.5 power standing ,and off a bench or prone I can get close enough to crank it up if need be.
Thinking a FX2 4 power might be a good Idea , but heck they are almost as expensive as the one it has now.
i,ll let you know how she shoots.

Would the Ruger offset rings help the eye relief of moving back .5"? You can send in the rings you have and Ruger will trade you out even.

Good looking rifle I have several No. 1's but all are configured in B, V, or AB. Been thinking about adding one of these international models in 243 to use as varmint rifle. Looks like they would be real handy in the woods/brush.

Buliwyf.
The off set rings would help , but only if I removed the rear site.
A taller set would help to , But I like the low mounting.
And FYI. I do not think Ruger would any longer swap rings for free.
I am going to give a short version of somthing that happend since I got this rifle.
A guy gave me a bunch of ruger rings. One complete set, witch is on the rifle and 4 rings that were complete except missing the screws that clamp the top half to the bottom half.
I figured no big deal ,I will just order them from ruger. 4 ity bity machine screws per ring 16 total.
I placed the order , and grabed my crdit card , and the guy says that will be 35.50 please.
2.00 Per screw (there aught to be a real good line there somplace) and 3.50 shipping and handeling.
Those screws can't cost ruger more thqan a Dime each.
The guy was honest enough to tell me that they recently increased the price from .50 each.
I bent over and reduced the order to 8.
I am going to the local hardware store and see if I can find a suitable screw to repace them.
Reminds me of a hooker that aproched my now deceesed father at a fancy restaraunt once.
She wanted 300.00 to serv both me and my dad.
he said he was too old and his 150.00 worth would kill him.
I told him at least he would die smiling.
We had a good laugh. The girl too ! I bought her a drink.I think I was 21. I am nmjow 49.

Brownells sells several sizes(6-48, 8-48 and 8-40, IMS) of Leupold's torx head screws. I am sure that they have ones that would fit.

$2.00 each is a joke.
