Anybody know anything about these? I have one coming in the next week or so. It's a .22 Hornet with double set triggers. It is in a sporter configuration. Couldn't find much on the web about them, but what little I did find sounded like they are high quality German single shots.

I had a single-shot .22rf Weihrauch target rifle (bolt action) for many years, and was very impressed with it. In build quality and accuracy it seemed to be quite the equal of an Anschutz 54 that I had at the same time.

I'm not familiar with the falling block model you have coming, but it sounds very interesting. I hope you post pictures when you get it. Good luck.

Weihrauch stopped manufacturing them because it was too expensive in comparison to bolt action target rifles.

They are quite sought after and thus, show up rarely on the used market.

I think that they look pretty cool.

Years ago I had one in .22 Hornet. It shot like a house afire with Sako factory ammunition, but I could never get it to perform as well with handloads until I realised that the fly in the ointment was US manufactured cases.

In Europe, the .22 Hornet is a target cartridge, used in hunting type competition, where any center fire cartridge is allowed, and the ammunition is produced accordingly. Norma, RWS, Sako cases are all far better than Remchester, and once I started using the superior brass, the performance went back to the previous high level of factory ammunition.
