I recently acquired a Carpenter carbine barrel in 22LR, all I know is the barrel is high quality, he was from New York, and he died about 10 years ago. Can any one add to this, or comment on his barrels?? THANKS!!

I had one of his barrels in 6.5 tcu. This was a carbine length that was threaded in to a stub from a donor barrel. The workmanship was excellent. I didn't notice the joint until I started using Kroil and it would highlight it. I sold it off when I had a bad case of "lack o' money". Should have kept it.

I thought that may be the case, when I saw the groove on the outside of the barrel. I really appreciate your response!!! This is one of my favorite custom barrels.
