Very nice Jules! These are cool looking rounds! I just had to add a pic of my carbine! I have gone through all my email with David, and went back through old posts on his site to find a reference to how fast this round should go with a 90 grn Sierra GameKing BTHP and could not find anything on it. I guess I had a senior moment. I'll just have to find out when I develope some loads with my Chrony. Didn't mean to stretch the truth or my frame either!

This company has made my Encore barrels and have done an exceptional job. They also make barrels for the Contender. www.bullberry.com. You can leave a request with fred@bullberry.com Realize that they are buisy and it may take 3-6 months to get a barrel once ordered. Good Luck

David White rechambers barrels for the T/C Contender for a 250 Savage Ackley Improved rimmed based on a 307 Winchester case he named the 250 Brady. It is necked down to .257 and left full length. Here is a picture of the two side by side. The 250 Savage and the 250 Brady. Mike Bellm has said that this round is essentially the same as the 25 Super Bower. Rimmed cases are prefered in a break action gun for ease of handling with gloves, better accuracy because it headspaces on the rim, and a larger area to distribute backthrust on the frame. My barrel was rechambered from a 15" Virgin Valley 256 Winchester Mag Barrel. I don't have velocity readings yet. I was working almost exclusively on my 30-30AI pistol for deer season. David has told me that this round should come close to the 25-06 in a contender rifle. Now that I have time to setup my new Chrony and work up some loads I'll be getting this taken care of and will post it if there is any interest. I have a 250imp based on the 307 case that was done by Bellm. It's a 20" contender barrel. I can't equal a 25-06 without going past the limits of the contender frame but i'm able to get over 3100FPS with an 85gr bullet and just under 2900 with a 100gr bullet. Next to an 06>>>
