I paid $500 + $30 shipping + $12.50 FFL = $542.50 out the door. I won an auction on line on Auction Arms. It came in original packaging. It looked like new in box except for: 1) rings were in bubble wrap 2) a tiny dent in stock 3) bore badly copper fouled 4) pages of manual folded over I may: 1) change the trigger 2) re barrel 3) find 30mm ring set up 4) buy it a hard case

I think I would wipeout, and JB the bbl first, [ie totally clean the bbl], just to see how she shoots. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

I have been doing Butch's Bore shine, but overnight it was Wipe Out. It looks like it will clean up. Then I will burnish the bore with Lyman moly bore cream.

If you decide to change the trigger, consider a Kepplinger (if you haven't already). They ain't cheap, but they are nice, real nice.

I had just put a Kepplinger set trigger in the .223 #1 that was stolen 4 weeks ago. So I lived with a Kepplinger set trigger for a week before it was stolen. I fired ~200 rounds with it at squirrels. In non set it was 1.5#. In set mode it was ~ .8#. My force gauge only goes down to 1#. I did not usually bother with the set mode. I could see when I installed it that in the non set mode it could have been replaced with a spur with a hole drilled in it. I am going to try to make a better trigger than the Kepplinger. I will probably buy another Kepplinger just to show my buddies that the one I made is as good.
