Scheels in Omaha has a like-new Ruger #1 in 375 H&H in its used gun rack for $450. I looked at it and didn't see any flaws.

That's a good price...are you looking for a 375?

Good hunting,

Used #1s have jumped by quite a bit lately in my neck of the woods. I haven't seen any under $600 lately in any caliber. If you're wanting a #1 in .375 H&H, I'd jump might fast on that one.
That's a damn fair price from where I'm sitting.

The Ruger #1 or the Ruger #1 in 375? Because if your sidelever 300/40 kicks too bad you can just send it to me and I'll be happy to take the punishment! thumb

Hmmmmm...??? I've shot a bunch of varmints in Uruguay with a 416 Rigby in a #1 ... and I was amazed how little it kicked ... I thought it would knock my hat off ... Confused

$450 sounds good to me. I am wanting a 375 H&H myself, and would buy one at that price if it is good.

BTW, Walmart will let you order these in stainless/laminate for $724.43. Which is pretty good for a new price on one. Just type in Ruger 375 on the Walmart search. It will pop up telling you only available in stores.

$450 for a #1 is a great deal. I picked up my .458 #1 for $400 -- but that was about 10 years ago. It seems the bigger calibers are sometimes a lot less expensive on the used market due to "recoil issues".
