Thanks. That was my thought exactly. The barrel is a 358 STA. Hopefully it will be sufficiently accurate without additional modifications. |

| If it were me I would not assume any problems from the start and once you recieve the barrel give it a shot. I have a few MGM barrels and without any gun mods at all they are amazingly accurate. If you find yourself having accuracy issues, which is doubtful then I would start working thru possible problems. A 'locking pin/oversize hinge pin' would not be at the top of the list of remedies I would try at that point. |

That is gonna be a deer stomping SOB! I would imagine in an Encore package it will not be lacking in recoil. I bought an Encore a few years back from a buddy and it came with a Virgin Valley custom 350 rem mag barrel. The 350 barrel has just sit in the safe until now that we have the changes to the primitive weapon rules. I am fired up for this deer season!! Good luck with your barrel and lets us know how she shoots.

| Yes, I expect the recoil will be noticeable, but then again, I am coming down from a 405! I don't know why they even call it 'primitive' anymore, but I am looking forward to getting another rig working. I'll report back. |
