Doesn't seem to be a great deal of info on the Ruger site, unless I missed it. Any good spot to look for specs such as bbl twist? Specifically looking for info for .308. Could be an alternative to getting a Rem 700 VS LH. sundog

I believe the twist rate on Ruger #1s for the .308 bore diameter is 1 in 10". That's what my two #1B and .one .300 Win. Mag. have. I don't have a Ruger #1 in .308 Win. yet, and from what I understand, they're about as numerous as chicken lips. As a matter of fact, I have seen only one #1 in .308 Win,. a #1AB, and the guy wanted an arm, leg and both my bvalls for the gun. I passed. AFAIK, all 30 caliber Rugers have a 1 in 10" twist. Thanks, Paul. I have this really great looking recipe for chicken lip casserole,... but I've never been able to use it. Back the Rem with a 12 twist. sundog
