My .338win Encore Barrel came in yesterday from FoxRidge. It is a 24" Heavy Barrel config, Hi Gloss finish. Looks sweet! I have a 2-7x33 Leupold VX II awaiting mounting, as soon as I can get some base and rings for it. Might be a week or two before I get to go shooting but I'm excited. I have a box of 200gr NBT to start breaking her in with. I will work up to the 250's . I'll check in and let yall know how she shoots.

That didnt take too long! Let me know how she shoots. For that type of recoil I would reccomend double dove tail type base and Burris signature Z Rings. Or maybe the Redfield three ring and base setup.

Update, I had to order a new "Heavy Barrel" forearm, wich I thought was odd since my standard forearem used to fit on my Factory .300win mag Heavy barrel just fine. I havn't measured the Foxridge Barrel but you would think it was the same width, it's not. Anyway forearm will be in Thursday 3/27.
Probably won't get my rings/base until first weekend of April. Then I can go shooting.
