LGD has a nice Hi-wall octagon in 270win. Not my favorite caliber. is it worth reboring? to?

It's $775.

Rich,

Consider rebarreling to something more interesting (6.5-06, .338-06, et al.) instead.

This way you can put it back into its original state if you decide to sell.

I'd probably rebarell. I seem to remember seeing that Browning barrels suck to rebore. Not worth it.

For about $1800 total including the gun you could have any caliber that would fit.

A 30-40 Krag would be awesome! A 30 Blaser would be more awesome!

I'd opt for a browning 1885. Fit and finish is superb, and the ones I've had have been very accurate.
