I have a tip down H&H Rook rifle in 360 No 5 with a ruined bore. I don’t need another small centerfire rifle so I’m thinking of 3” 410 ga. Who can do the job?

I have a Holland and Holland hammer rook rifle which has already been converted to 410.
Maybe we can work a trade?

Guys, just for curiosities sake, if you have the time I know everyone would like to see pics. I sure would.

Hi Guys

I hope you two can get together and exchange your two Rook rifles! Here in England we see so many nice rook rifles that have been converted to .410 in the 1920s and 1930s, and once the barrel has been turned down to a slim tube they can never be converted back to a rifle. Even bad bores can be rebored or lined to .22lr or (my favourite) .32-20.

You know it makes sense! Just drive across and meet in the middle - can't be that far even with today's petrol (oops, gas) prices...

Mine is a hammer gun. I’m left handed. Right side hammers are no problem. Not so sure about right hand side levers. I’ll post some photos.

I'm left handed as well but I think with that minimum recoil that it should be no issue.

I would reline the barrel before converting to a shotgun.
If there is enough meat in the barrel, maybe even a rebore to 455 Webley or something fun like that.
