Malicious...but not the only case. The Magnum Research Lone Eagle is prohibited in California as an Any Other Weapon, despite being an expensive rotary bolt single shot pistol.

As stupid as the Liberal government is and as stupid as their policies are, this is kind of fake news. This sort of reporting is just a fanning of the flames where none is needed. The truth is, the government is looking to ban a bunch of rifles for no reason than to suck up to their urban, liberal base. This is bad enough, and sensationalistic misinterpretations serve no real purpose. In the past, the government has also listed calking guns as being especially deadly. Stupid? You bet it is, but it is a red herring and has nothing to do with the real issue. Regards, Bill.
Right above the Ruger No 1 in the list is the RPA Quadlock, a single shot target action used extensively in international Palma competition. Of course they’re not after the hunters and target shooters.

You are correct about those firearms being on the "list", but it ISN'T LAW YET. Time will tell, but there is a lot of blowback and it remains to be seen what the final list will be.

No. Canada is not looking at banning the #1 - just those, and any other firearm, that develops muzzle energy beyond 10000 joules. Youtube might not be a good source of objective information! Posting accurate information is our responsibility.
Some good news today. The Gov't has withdrawn the ammendments to Bill C-21 that were going to add a huge number of firearms to the original list, and this is the list that had many firearms commonly used by hunters. These are the amendments that listed the Weatherby mark v in .460 Wby, and the Ruger No. 1 chambered in cartridges that produced 10,000 or more joules of energy, etc.
So some good news, but we still need to fight for the entirety of Bill C-21 is in the trash can. This will only happen when we get Trudeau and his Liberal bandits kicked out of office and a Conservative gov't in power. Lets hope it is sooner than later, as the damage the Liberals have done will take many years to rectify.
