New guy here. Let's see if I am close on this. Blaser sells several models of long gun from bolt action repeaters to single shots to drillings to shotguns, etc. As part of their line they use Luxus.

They are not the same as Luxus Arms and the Model 11.

Am I correct so far?

I see the Blaser are much higher priced than the Luxus Arms M11. That much better?

Thanks,

Dave

Right to some point. Luxus is a "grade" of a K95--I think grade 4 wood and above with side plates--with scroll or game scene ect...Luxus is the make the M11 gun. I have and own both. THey are really different rifles. The K95 could be considered a super light stalking rifle, while the M11 is an all steel heaver rifle--although trim. I think the over all build quality of either is good, the Blaser frame is aluminum, but has an excellent scope mounting system. M11 uses a talley quarter rib...if I had to own just one, I love the K95, but my M11 30-30 with sights is pretty darn cool looking, stunning stick of wood, and shoots great!

Biebs has one of the prettiest Luxus M11's that I have ever seen. It's a two BBL set - He is selling it for 4K'ish. Jon is a heck of a nice guy - Reach out to him and he can guide you on the Blaser and Luxus.

Dave, welcome to AR. Yes, Luxus is a company in Ohio who sells very high-grade Turkish Walnut, and now has ventured into making a breakdown single-shot rifle in several grades. Blaser uses the term Luxus as one of their grades of rifles...Prestige, Luxus, Super Luxus, Baronesse, etc. I believe Blaser pays a small royalty to Luxus to use that term in selling rifles in the US.

I have seen some of the Luxus rifles advertised as Modell 11S. When I go to the Luxus website I only see FQ and LT. Am I missing something. I also see huge variations in prices between the MSRP of the site and the stocking dealers.

Thanks,

Dave

There is no model 11S. Might be referring to 'single shot'. . . . . . . .

I found somewhere that talked about the 11s,
but was in reference to the model 11's, as in plural.

The Luxus single shot is the model 11.. It was penned out in 2011 hence---Model 11-- FQ and LT refer to the style of the trigger release. FQ is the farquarson style and the other is the original trigger release.

I saw the GB auction listings with the S suffix. Those guys have a website. A quick call would blow away the smoke. Great bunch of straight talkers up there.

On my "to do " list. Just received my copy of Rifle magazine. Test article on the M11.

There were some cheaper lower grade rifles offered for a short time. There were not marked 11C but I can't remember if it was 11S.

The "normal" model 11's, which you see on the website, are all "C" grade, or "custom" grade. Based on the guns I have seen marked "S", I presume that indicates "standard" grade. These are the less expensive models that feature few of the custom features that are on most "C" grade guns.
