Well I made up my mind (finally) and ordered another custom barrel for my T/C Encore in .243Win. This barrel is a tappered 25" tube. Hoping to get (at least) decent velocities out of factory ammo with it.
It should complement the 26" 270 & 24" Heavy barreled 338Win. that I already have.
So what is your favorite deer bullet for the 6mm.
I am considering starting with the 95gr Nosler Partition. (loaded by a CONLEY PRECISION CARTRIDGE). Or maybe Hornady custom 100gr btsp.

Any suggestions for this rig??? Thanks.

The most accurate bullet in my Ruger #1 .243 is the 100 grain Sierra flat base spitzer.

The 95 Nosler partitions are almost as accurate in my 6mm AI, but not quite. I haven't tried the Noslers in the .243, and as the velocity is 300 fps less in the .243 I may not!
