I have considered EAW and ERA quich release mounts for my no.1 in .375 with a 42 mm scope which is to arrive soon, but I have been told that if mounted on the Ruger quarter rib the scope will be very high. I can believe that. The bases are rather high. I will therefore use the Ruger rings for a while, and aske a gunsmith if it is practical to remove the quarter rib and attach the bases directly on the barrel. This will ruin the open sights, but in case of a claw mount the rear base can be used for a diopter / ghost ring.
Please let us know if find some pictures !

Swarovski also makes Ruger mounts for their line of rail mounted scopes. I have yet to see one on a rifle.

I have long considered a Ruger #1 in 10.3x60R with a octagonal 20 inch barrel and a very germanic Heeren-esque styled butt and full forend. It would be neat to put big 3-12x56 Swarovski rail in EAW mounts on it, since we are talking about a new barel anyway.
