Red Neck, I just bought a H&R/NEF Laminated 25-06 w/ 26" barrel at Wal-Mart for $187 + tax. Man, you can't hardly beat a deal like that. It sure is a fine rifle.

When I went to Wal-mart, they didn't have this gun in the catalog but, the nice lady called the warehouse and they had several in stock. It only took one day to get here.

I was worried that the trigger would be to heavy and the stock would be cheap looking but, this thing looks and feels great. The trigger is arouond 2 # (Thats right 2#) and the stock is stained brown and laminated but, you can see the nice dark grain to the wood.

I mounted a scope on it last night I just hope it will shoot like I want. I think I am going to start w/ some Speer Hot-Core 100 grners @ 3300 fps. Maybe that will give some descent accuracy and it will probably be devastating on those whitetails too.

I noticed the price of a new barrel of a diff. caliber was only $82 and a 223 Bull bbl was around 110.

You would probably be pleased w/ the NEF rifle. You cant hardly beat the price.

Good Luck!
