Am considering having a #1 re-barreled. Are there some names I should be considering? Most likely will want a trigger job done at the same time.

Thanks. I'm familiar with Gary as he did a .45 colt for me. Did he do your stock work also?

No, it's factory. He rebarrelled a 30-06 to 9,3x74R.

It's a deer killing machine; also took one bison with it.

Very nice. What barrel length? What is the turnaround time for barrel work with Gary? When he did my Ruger Bisley, it was about 4 months.

The barrel came out at about 19". It's a fairly heavy barrel, and we kept cutting it back until the weight w/ scope hit 9.0 exactly.

It balances really well, carries well, doesn't kick at that weight (compared to a 7-pound Chapuis, anyway), and is very handy in a box blind.

4 months is about what I recall.
