Boyds for a standard Laminate, Lone Wolf for tupperware type, Seringetti (Mel Blanks old company)if I was going to use a walnut type stock. If it is trashed It would be a great project #1s usually have really good wood for factory. You are looking at new stocks any how, I would attmept to re do the old one myself.

i just got a #1B 22/250 that has trashed wood, looks like it was used more as a club then a rifle. I've been posting in the classifieds for a stock set but so far no luck.
anyone have an idea where i can find a set?

Bell & Carlson makes a synthic stock set for the #1, I put one on my #3 and it looks and shoots great!
I guess it depends on how much you want to spend, the B&C set cost about $180 or so.
